New Mini Laptop

I’m surprised there hasn’t been more hype about it, but there’s a nice deal at NewEgg: an Eee PC Minilaptop (EEEPC900-BK072) for only $169.99.

This 8.9 inch netbook has 1024 x 600 resolution, 512MB RAM, a 4GB SSD hard drive, and a Linux OS. It runs an Intel Mobile CPU, has 3 USB’s, mic/headphone jack, and a MMC/SD/SDHC memory card reader.

It weighs just under 2.2 lbs and has a footprint of 8.86″ x 6.69″ x .79″/1.33″, has a stylish black (Galaxy) color, and its 4 cell Li-ion battery lasts 2.5 hours.

This mini-laptop is not for development or gaming, but it can definitely handle the browsing, email, and communication that most users are looking for.
